Hey April, good idea! You should sticky this topic so it stays at the top.
I once made a quick step-by-step using Photobucket, the instructions should also work for other similar websites:
Step by step on how to get your pictures from your camera to a message board.
1. Register at
www.photobucket.com. It's easy.
2. Put your pictures from your digital camera onto your computer (this is known as uploading). If they're cell phone pictures, you'll have to email them to yourself and then save them onto your computer.
3. Go to Photobucket and log in with the username and password you created. You'll see a blue box at the top of the page that says "Upload Images & Video." Click on it.
4. Now choose the folder that your pictures are in (if it doesn't automatically take you to it) in the window that pops up, and double click the photo that you want to upload. (If you can't see them, click View>Thumbnails.) To upload multiple photos, hold the ctrl key down and highlight/click on each picture you want to upload. It'll upload your photo(s) automatically. If you have a lot, it will take a minute or two. Be patient.
5. Once your pics are uploaded, it's time to post them. Go to create a new thread or reply to another topic where you want to post pics. Have Photobucket open in another Internet tab or window.
6. Go to your Photobucket. Under each picture you should see up to four different URL links. Click on the IMG Code one, then right click and hit copy. If you want to post a photo that doesn't have any links under it, say it's on your personal website, then just right click on it and hit Properties. Then copy the whole URL from there. It will usually end in something like ".jpg". It should not end in a series of numbers or ".com".
7. Now go back to your new thread/post and right click on the space where you type and hit Paste (or hold the ctrl key down and hit V). Your link with IMG tags around it will appear. Make the IMG tags lowercase, like [img]. If you took your image from a site without links with tags, simply put the tags there yourself.
8. Repeat steps 6-7 for each picture until you have all of the pictures you want to post on your thread.
9. Now hit Post. Your pictures should show up on your new post.
